Campaign
Campaigning is an important aspect of our approach to achieving long lasting change for Dalits, women, indigenous people and other marginalised groups in rural India. AJSA and its partners help ensure disadvantaged communities secure a meaningful voice through establishing and supporting campaigning through VLC’S,women’s self-help groups, PRI and ANM members,Farmers clubs and youth associations.

There are many types of events you can organise or be a part of to raise funds and awareness for AJSA, and we really do appreciate your efforts. Fundraising helps bring people together, and it needn’t be daunting. It is really surprising how family, friends, colleagues and associates will be only too happy to show their support by providing sponsorship or helping to get things organised. Charitable trusts and foundations play a vital role in underpinning our core work together with helping us in developing and establishing new programmes. One-off grants have enabled us to purchase crucial resources, for example education material for school childrnes, hence multi-year grant awards have helped us to establish long term projects which can transform whole communities.

Volunteer

Do you have a few spare hours a week? Whether you are looking for work experience or just simply wanting to help, we would really appreciate your support. We need help in database management, fundraising and other activities.If you are interested in volunteering for AJSA, we would be pleased to hear from you.

Please note that AJSA does not have a formal overseas or national level volunteer programme. We prefer to recruit volunteers locally in our project locations of Odisha (India), as this helps to develop and sustain in-country skills and experience.

The Internship Program

AJSA’s Internship Program introduces a handful of high-caliber penultimate year, undergraduate and post-graduate students to career opportunities in the non-profit sector. Selected applications will be given a taste of working life at the AJSA’s Operational Project areas, working in interesting projects alongside enthusiastic and experienced professionals. The nature of intern tasks varies depending on an intern’s skill sets, our organisational needs, and the department in which an intern is placed. Each placement is unique and structured in agreement between manager and intern.
